Wordpress Posts
Post Features
Before entering fully into WordPress pages, I leave here the main features that WordPress posts have.
1.- First, the posts are part of the blog. That is, as you create posts, they are sorted chronologically one after another as part of the Feed.
The conclusion is that the date is important, and marks one of its main uses: they serve to create "temporary" content, understanding this as content that is usually linked to a date.
It will also be the content shown in the RSS feed that people can subscribe to.
2.- The default WordPress posts are "connected" to two taxonomies: categories and tags.
Undoubtedly, this is another feature, because thanks to these taxonomies, tickets can be better organized by creating new Feeds by theme or similar features.
3.- The default WordPress entries can use different formats to present their content. We already saw that this depended a lot on each theme, but whatever it is it is something exclusive of the posts.
4.- The Blog or Feed can be set as the front page of the Web page. But the post alone cannot be the cover of our page.
So we will use the entries to create new and different content from each other, such as articles, news, events ... that are organized by categories and tags and also serve a chronological (temporary) order.
