All page options in WordPress
As we have seen, WordPress pages are very similar in many ways to posts. The management page is practically identical to that of Blog posts.
And when creating a page the same thing happens. The only difference is that we cannot add categories and tags to the pages. They also have no formats and comments are disabled globally by default. But otherwise a page is created as an post.
With what I am going to focus on the characteristics of the pages in WordPress.
They are Static and Timeless
This means that although they have an internal date, their nature does not revolve around the date. That is, it is not organized according to its date.
They are rather designed to create timeless content such as the "who we are" or the "contact page", for example.
As a result, they are not part of the Feed and will not be sent to RSS readers.
They are Organized Hierarchically
That is, you can create a page and then when creating another page, you can include it as a "child page" of the previous one.
Thus, WordPress pages present a new box where you can choose the level of the page, which can be without a higher level or under another page already created.
This could be used, for example, to place all members of a team under a page that was a team.
Attributes
In this new box, called Attributes, you have two more options. One option is order, which basically serves to say which daughter page goes before another. But the most interesting option of Attributes is undoubtedly the selection of templates.
Pages may have templates. And this means that they can adopt different designs (templates) to display the content. Also, if you don't like the templates that come with your theme, you can always create new templates.
Home
WordPress pages can be set as Home. So we could create a specific page for the start of our website and then select it.
