Now you will find a list of long-range tasks. These are maintenance tasks that you don't have to do every day. This list is your monthly list.
1) Test forms
Test any forms, such as "subscribe" and "contact us." Just make sure they are all working properly. Such checks can save you a headache or two later.
2) Overhaul categories
If you want to add or change a category, you can do so. Once a month might be a great time for such changes. My categories have not changed, but I can see that it might be necessary to add a new one now and them.
3) Rewrite old posts
Go back to your early posts and see what you can do to improve them. Once you have made changes, you might find it helpful to go to the Google Search Console, put in the URL, and request indexing.
In this way, you alert Google that there has been a change.
Here's a warning: Do all the changes you feel are necessary -- even change your title -- but do not change the permalink. You could create confusion with Google, something you do not want.
Diane Scorpio gave me an excellent suggestion to use when overhauling posts. Put an internal link in the old post to tie it to one of your newer posts that is related. Again, this linking can keep visitors on your site longer.
Check as well to make sure you have an external link in the post.
4) Update and improve keywords
You have changed your title, but not your permalink, and you have placed the new keyword in your title and in your first paragraph.
Perhaps this new keyword will make your post stronger and help improve the position of the post in Google.
I feel sure there must be some things I've missed. Please think about all the website tasks you do every day, week, and month and make sure I've added them to this task list.
We can all benefit from the collective experience on this platform, so let's help each other out by making this list as complete as possible.
An excellent idea and a very useful cribsheet!
I'm not sure what the scope of webmaster covers in your mind...
does it include capturing writing ideas through to publishing (and all steps in between)? If it does...
I have a system within which I capture ideas, which can come up at any time... I review them weekly, discard the rubbish, otherwise keep them and schedule for research and development.

yesterday I spent nearly 3 hours rectifying 22 broken links (some were 2 months old, one was from a post I had literally published the day before)
I will not be leaving it so long this time. I do have the Broken Link Checker, but it only works if you bother to check it (which I obviously didn't).....😗
I think routine and scheduling takes the choice out of procrastination... We have this for our YouTube filming and we never miss an upload, so why not for blogging? For me it's about ALWAYS keeping the bigger picture and the medium and long term goals in place because often I can be easily distracted with posts and comments especially if it's from Partha, I can lose a whole morning...lol simply because my daily schedule has flexibility written in....
