In Part 1 I explained that the HTLM language today is used to structure your website content and that CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is used to design your website. I presume that most of us here at WA know that that every WordPress website has a CSS stylesheet to do this job.
With CSS the download time is much quicker than before using only HTML.
The Pros and Cons of CSS
Pros
· Larger layout options: The design is consistent between the browser (see below).
· Shorter times for the creation and maintenance of websites: from a single file can be a complete website design created and changed if necessary.
· Faster transmission: CSS makes HTML numerous repetitions superfluous. Less code means faster download.
· homepage still works even in old browsers: Even in browsers that do not support CSS, the home page is still displayed (but then without CSS design).
Cons
· Different support by browser: Biggest drawback is the partially inconsistent support from the browser. Therefore should not be used all the CSS definitions.
