Preparation 1
Create a Folder in MS Word
Now you have MS Word open to create a folder you will click File>then New then (normally the new document is already highlighted) if not click new document> then on the far right under blank Document will be the word Create click on this.
A new page will open up.
Click on File.
Now from here you will then create your Folder first.
Click Save As
The below image will appear where you will right click on the Drive you wish to save your Folder on in my case it is the One Drive as shown below (you can choose whatever drive you have available to use).
Right click One drive and a smaller window pops up
Place your mouse cursor over new and you will see the word Folder come up.
Click on Folder
This will now show the words New Folder within the Drive you have selected. At this point you have created a New Folder but this is a default name and should be changed.
Right click on New Folder
Then create a folder name in my case I would call it Successfulaffiliateru as that is my website name no need to place the URL version.
You can replace yours with your website name.
Your Folder is now created. Make sure you know where it is.
Great work! You have now created a Folder.
So the next part is to now work on creating a file.
This will then be placed within your new Folder just created.
Now is the time to record where your Folder has been saved to by recording the location. By knowing where your files and folders are you can go to it a lot quicker saving you some time searching?
Why can’t I just do one file?
Creating a separate file for each page or post will be better for you in the long run , it will save you time as well as keep your sanity later on should you have issues.
If you put all you work on one file not only will it be super long but will also take time to upload or download.
Imagine you have over a period of time created over 100 pages full of blogs, posts, images, along with all your settings and posts and all this saved to one file?
Now imagine you accidentally deleted that file and you can’t get it back plus you have no backup are you going to retype all 100 plus pages from memory?
It is best to do one file per page/blog or post with the name of the file for that particular piece of content.
It is better to replace one file containing one page that one file containing your whole life’s work. Is it worth risking everything on one file?
Don't put all of your eggs in one basket."
