Create a Location Map for your Website with Custom Marker Icons

Go to Google Maps https://www.google.com/maps/d/

Select Create new map. This is also where you would go to make any changes to an existing map by clicking open a map and any changes will be automatic. No need to go back to your site and embed a new code.

On my website, I have created a new page and called it Locations and just using Wal-Mart Locations for the purpose of this training.

Now back to the map. I am going to name my map walmart locations and it will be saved to my Google Drive automatically. Just click where it says untitled map.

Enter a title and brief description then save.

Wow! This was awesome Angela! A couple of weeks ago I was thinking to myself about putting a map on a website I am about to create and I was trying to figure out how to do that.

This training has saved me the time in trying to figure it out. Very well done! I have bookmarked this training and will try this out on my test website before doing it for real on the website I will create. Thanks for this training!
