First things first, you need to visit your local RBC branch and ask the teller/manager to openRBC U.S. High-Interest eSavings account for you.
And remember to bring 2 pieces of ID with you.
Since I didn't have an account with RBC before, personally, I asked the rep to open the Canadian savings account for me as well, just so that I have an online access to my banking information (I prefer doing online banking and mobile banking as opposed to driving to a bank branch).
For your own benefit, make sure that you have a U.S. High Interest eSavings account with no fees but only 1 debit per month.
(Debits exceeding monthly limit will be $3 each).
Once the representative is done with setting up an account for you, kindly ask to print out your information and ask him/her to show you the transit number and the account number (you will need this information later).
Now, here will comes the best part!
