We will now go to the following link and get the instructions on how to change the DNS settings on your new domain name.

Follow the instructions below to transfer this domain:

Name servers

To view the name servers for your domain, do the following:

  1. Click My domains in the navbar and click the domain name.
  2. Click the DNS tab .
  3. Scroll down to Name servers section to see a list of the name servers for your domain.

To switch to custom name servers, do the following:

  1. Under Name Servers select Use custom name servers.
  2. Enter a custom name server in the Name server field.
  3. Click the + button to add another.
  4. You must use at least two name servers. Google recommends that you use at least four. Check with your DNS provider for the number and names of name servers available to you.

  5. Click Save to save your name server

I went to Google Domains but apparently you can only purchase a domain name from them if you have an US mailing address. I usually buy mine from name cheap too but I was just curious to see what their prices are.

I did something just the other way around today, I thought google could be my "host" for just an email address, but because of their well-known verification methods I have moved everything to WA... :-)

Question Shawn: What is the standard price for a .com domain @ Google?

They start at 12 bucks, they are pretty much the same as Namecheap, which is the one I use.

I bought a .be for $4.5 today normally same price as .com, but I just checked and the .com's are around $11 so not enough difference to change!
