Content Egg Settings
Now that you have the plugin installed and activated the first thing to do is complete the settings.
Click settings in the plugin menu (lefthand toolbar) and you will be shown the following screen
You can see that their are tabs for a number of features.
General settings are shown and I recommend you check all boxes.
Then you can complete each of the affiliate tabs (depending on who you have joined). It should be mentioned that the above is the free version of Content Egg. If you pay for the pro version (which is reasonable at $45) then you have a huge range of options including ...
Modules of free version:
Amazon, Google Images, Youtube, Commission Junction Links, Freebase, Affili.net Coupons, Related Keywords, RSS Fetcher.
Additional modules of PRO version:
Ebay, Zanox, Aliexpress, CJ Products, ClickBank, Affili.net Products, Linkshare, Shareasale, Cityads, Ozon, Flickr, Bing Images, Google Books, Google News, Twitter, VK news, Yandex Market...
FREE Version is Enough
For me i'm happy with free and for the purposes of this tutorial I will guide you through setting up the Amazon Links. It is the same process for CJ Links and all the other options (whether free or pro version)
Amazon Links
Click on the tab in settings that says Amazon. There are a number of fields that you can change and customise but ONLY 3 that you need to fill in...you can happily leave the rest as they are.
You will need to fill in the following
Amazon Access Key ID and Secret Access Key can be gained by signing up (though your amazon associates account for API keys)
Enter the Key ID and the Secret Access Key PLUS in the third field enter your tracking ID (this is your amazon associates ID)
Save!
You will know if you are successful as the light on the Amazon Tab will turn green ...see below
