Day 10...WHEW!!

Congrats on your hard work thus far, you are making some major headway and the start of your foundation is starting to be put into place. This is something that you are going to be able to build off of drastically going forward and you are going to be an authority site before you know it!

In this tutorial I walk you through techniques I use personally to "be in the know" of any given industry, and in this case I am showing you how to keep an eye on the internet marketing and subsequent niches relevant to your site.

To do this, I will be walking you through Google Alerts.

Then I will be showing you how to come up with an infinite number of "content ideas" with a few quick searches. I cover the main strategies on how to accomplish this.

Hope you enjoy this video and if you have any questions, let me know below.

I love this place. Every time I think I have a handle on things. I find something new to learn. I think I knew about this but never understood the power that it holds for customer interaction.

Always new stuff to learn Craig, to this day I still learn new stuff all the time. It is what makes this industry so exciting to be in!

These are great ways to get more info and ideas for my niche. In the past I've used Google Alerts and eHow but never thought of Yahoo Answers...daaahh ;)
Thanks for another great vid Kyle and enjoy your day!

Yeah, add Yahoo answers (Q & A sites in general) to your list for doing niche research. It can be very helpful!

Awesome! thanks man, appreciate the praise and the insight into staying on top of our niches. This is an area that I have a "loose grip" on and can certainly stand some help understanding it a little more.

Most definitely, you would want to set up some alerts in the 'florida' market as well for keywords relevant to that. I would also do some retirement alerts...and then do some research within these two items for questions people are asking and how to's.

Thanks Kyle, good content. Need to start putting these sort of tasks such as research etc into a calendar of events so that we don't forget to do this on a regular basis. The Google Alerts will come automatically, that's great but reviews of ehow etc probably need to be diarised - well in my case they do anyway!

Yeah, whatever works for you. Alerts will come in naturally ever day to your email, as for the research part, just do whatever works for you and your schedule. I usually do it when I am looking for new keywords/topics to write about or looking to get some insight into the audiences "mind".
