If you have pictures on your computer you can upload them or from a source that you download your pictures from. Media library will store all the pictures that you upload.

If your theme has drag and drop, this makes it much easier especially if you are like me and take a lot of screen shots or if you have a file on your desktop with images.

Instead of having to hit upload, you can just grab the image (if it is hanging out on your desktop or if you have a image file open) and drag it to this screen.

For screenshots I have a tendency to just leave them on my desktop until I am done with my post and have edited it. Then I will delete them. You don't want to use the same picture twice.

You can see the image I chose as it has a check mark in the box, The other arrow is pointing to Edit Image, You can change the size of the image there.

If you are not using drag and drop and do not have images already in your media library, then you will want to click upload image.

Thank you Holly.
I agree 100%.
I couldn't imagine reading something without pictures .
I would fall asleep trying to read it.

Very useful Lee, one comment if I may, when I use WA blog and insert a picture, I have to remember to move the page up, otherwise I cannot see the insert button as it is hidden by the picture which usually means starting again Just a thought

Edwin,
I didn't include adding images to W A blog/post. Maybe I should have huh?

I just see many new members that have questions about adding images to there post and thought I would just create training to show them how.

Creating the training took longer than I thought because adding the images for it was a little different as well.

I believe I can go in ad edit the training and add "Adding Images To W A Blog?Post". Might be a couple of days until I can do it.

Thank you for your "thought". It is definitely a good one.

Thank you very much Jangle.
I am really hoping that it will help some new members and maybe relive some of their stress when it comes to adding images.

I agree this is a keeper. Thank you Lee Ann great training and use of screen shots. I wished this would have been available sooner, but that's ok. Have a great weekend.

Xavier,
Thank you.
It is like the saying goes "A day late and a dollar short". : )

Hopefully it will be able to help someone out there in W A land.
Sorry it wasn't in time for you.

In all seriousness, can you think of an issue that you may have had when adding images that I might have missed?

Like Edwin brought up there difference when you add images to a post/blog on our W A profile. Which I will be adding to the training at some point.
