I just checked two blogs in German. The translation isn't perfect, but fine. I would be ok with it.

Now you are using my technique. I often can't get right to sleep, and I come up with all these good ideas. I keep a notebook and a pencil on my headboard so I can write them down. Helpful.

Yes. Last night I had a pen and a notebook. If you don't write down it is hard to memorize. Some ideas disappear and if you lucky come back later ...

I can tell -- you actually sit up to write your ideas. I use a pencil and don't bother to get up. If I write with a pen while lying down, it always quits writing, so I switched to pencils...lol...
