Test your new login
Do not click on SYNCHRONIZE!
When you click on Synchronize, then you're back to square one, and you can only access your website trough WA.
Again, to access your website outside the Wealthy Affiliate dashboard add /wp-admin behind your domain name.
You will get the login form and you can access the dashboard of your website at any time.
To be clear, this was the first time in 7.5 years that my.wealthyaffiliate.com was unreachable for me. Still, I'm on the safe side now.

Thank you for laying this out. I recently added someone to a website for content and did not realize that by clicking synchronize they would have to log in through WA.
I only want them to be an editor, so I will check with Site support to see what they need to log in outside of WA.

Yes but we had a nasty storm come through and it knocked the internet out. I was using my cell phone as a hot spot so internet was a bit iffy but I could get into other sites. I got the same errors as you did. Weird!
I’m also thinking that if one were to copy and paste WA’s user name and password for my site to a saved place on the hard drive. Then do the wa-admin thing and bingo! Your in!

Yes, you can do that. But I have the habit when WP has an update, to reset the passwords on WA. This is one time and therefor easier.
