Today Wealthy Affiliate turned out to be unreachable for me. Bad request 502 warning. And since I always log in through the My Wealthy Affiliate dashboard on my websites, I couldn't access my websites. I had no password outside of WA.

After a few hours I was able to login to my.wealthyaffiliate.com again and I was the first to add a new user on all my websites. Myself!

Under a different username, and a different email address, and a new password I can now login directly to my websites by placing wp-admin behind my web address as follows:

https://your.siterubix.com/wp-admin

Thank you for laying this out. I recently added someone to a website for content and did not realize that by clicking synchronize they would have to log in through WA.

I only want them to be an editor, so I will check with Site support to see what they need to log in outside of WA.

You can share the password wa provides. But their own password will not work anymore

Thank you so much for the training. That would be frustrating not being able to log in.

It sure is, I just added one missing piece. Do not click on synchronize on the WA dashboard. It wil generate a new password.

My pleasure, I checked it with a test website. Also important when you add contributors.

WA down at your place too?

Yes but we had a nasty storm come through and it knocked the internet out. I was using my cell phone as a hot spot so internet was a bit iffy but I could get into other sites. I got the same errors as you did. Weird!

I’m also thinking that if one were to copy and paste WA’s user name and password for my site to a saved place on the hard drive. Then do the wa-admin thing and bingo! Your in!

Next time! 🙃

Yes, you can do that. But I have the habit when WP has an update, to reset the passwords on WA. This is one time and therefor easier.

The alternate login option, domain name/wp-admin, needs to be offered in our training.

You won't need to create a new user, simply log in using your credentials by using your domain name dot com forward slash wp-admin.

I knew about the alternative but never bothered to make it.

I dont think many people do know that they can log in using the the domain name/wp-admin, so thank you for providing the training.
