4 - Cite Data Sources
You certainly do not want to be identified as one of those junk websites that throw facts around. You see, the internet has made it so easy for just anyone to claim an "expert" status without real facts to back up their claims.
And if you're to stand out from this bunch, you'll need to cite the source of your data each time you include any stats in your content. Provide links to the data source, so your audience can visit the sites and verify.
That way, you will be able to build credibility with those who visit your website in search of important information.
5 - Target Content for Featured Snippets
Featured Snippets are little blocks of information that appear on the top spot of Google search results. They tend to displace the number one position from Google's SERP (Search Engine Results Page).
When this happens, Featured Snippets tend to improve the brand visibility and web traffic of the content creators. So, how do you tap into this window of opportunity called Featured Snippets?
Create and format your content in such a way to improve the likelihood of your content appearing among other posts.
To do this, provide definitive answers to questions, improve content quality, include stats and data, and structure your contents logically.
6 - Enhance Page Load Speed
We are living in an era where delivery speed is everything and people's attention span has greatly reduced. That's why most web visitors expect your web page to load in 3 seconds, and not a microsecond later.
You've got to make sure that the loading speed of your website and pages is fully optimized, so you don't lose potential leads and customers.
However, I did a Google ad (as I have some credits from an old business) and left the targetting open and mostly got guys aged 18-22 from Asia and India. You might say I should be happy with that but although I got lots of starter members, none upgraded to premium.
My niche is MMO. Do you have any thoughts to get a clearer picture of my audience?
Best,
Jean
