2. Monetize Your Blog
This is one of the good ways to turn your amateur blog into a professional business blog. Any blog without revenue is a mere hobby. A hobby is just anything you do at leisure.
There are numerous ways to get a blog monetized, particularly when you’ve moved from a free to self-hosted blogging business. You start promoting affiliate products using your website. You recommend certain products you’ve used or liked to other people in your specialty and receive a commission from the sale price.
You can work directly with brands and let them get you paid for talking about their products or brands. This is what we call Post Sponsorship. So, when you publish a post on your blog, you give them mentions and when readers click through their links, they land straight on their business sites.
Another alternative is coming up with self products which could include courses, eBooks, and of course physical products. You can create some Ad spaces on your site and sell them to companies.
You can make a lot of money from that too, but you need a steady flow of traffic to include that in your website monetization tactics. Finally, Google AdSense is another good way to monetize a site (even though with slow and steady revenue generation or revenue based on site traffic).
