META Confusion
Okay, I'm confused. Instead of going through my whole morning and why I'm confused, I'll just get right to my questions:
1. Does the SEO All In One take care of the microdata on our sites?
2. If I already have the All In One plug in, will it hurt my site if I also install the SEO Ultimate plug in? I only want it for the rich snippet feature. I will disable all the other modules.
3. Am I correct that the only way to see my META info such as <h1>, title, and description is to go to the webpage and right click in the white area? Is it correct that the only way to change the info is to update the data I put into the plug in under title and description and to change the title of my blog if I want the <h1> to change?
I read (in an effort to learn) schema.org, which Google suggested and now I'm all confused.
Happy Tuesday to everyone and thanks tons for any comments you leave!

If you want to see the source code of your webpage, you click control+U (in windows), than you can see the meta tags, H1, and everything else on your webpage.
I'm with Trialynn. I couldn't even give you any answers but when Kyle answers, I'd say go with that.

When the Master answers, it is a privileged feeling!! I would give you some great answer, but you already have the best!
1. Yes, after you have set it up initially, your meta tags are taken care of for all pages and posts you create. You don't have to do this manually.
2. It would be redundant to have another SEO tool, just know that All in One is all you need and no plugin can truly help you get indexed into Google. I personally wouldn't bother.
3. You can update your meta information on a "per page" basis if you want, but this is not required. Your title of your page post automatically becomes your meta title if you have the All in One SEO plugin in place.
in order to check where you are at- go and install SEO Quake for Google Chrome- then enable it, and you will get a series of reports on your site (or any site come to that) which you can interrogate by clicking on the link in each table box- and you can see what the SERPS see- information/diagnosis/index/ etc. Don't forget to disable it after use as if you do a search in Google, or ano engine, it will return those parameters for each result.
Put chrome://plugins into a tab to access your plugins and enable/disable from there- happy hunting...
This is the what, others have written about the how...so WA is golden again...
WA was, is and will always be golden. Not sure if my love for the friends or the information is more but it is an all around true gem. Thanks for SEO Quake... doing it now. Thanks Andy.
Just a little suggestion, leave micro data for now, concentrate in the basis SEO, on the all in one SEO
Ok, first you do not have to fill in the meta data boxes, if you leave all the settings as is, it will produce all the data automatically for you
but if you want to change the meta data for each page then the boxes that you fill in will over ride the standard settings of the SEO plugin for each page or post
Once you have all the basic SEO set up done, you can then concentrate on micro data and rich snippets
I have a separate plugin for this but I would wait till you get comfortable with fundamental SEO first, there is so much to learn in this industry, it makes my head swirl, I have had to take baby steps and still do
Just get the basic site set up and you can evolve it slowly as with your knowledge and expertise
Hope this helps
Barry
