Bricks and Sand - Quality, Love, and Longevity

I've had a lot of small pieces of down time during job1 and rehearsal this week to consider the angles of content. Something that's become rather strong in my mind is that I want to build a blog and a site that people who find it years later will still find useful. I want the content to be interesting and relevant enough to last. That means one thing though to me as a writer. It means I need to take my time.
It's relatively easy for me to churn out 1000 words on a song or musical I really like (which is what most of my content is going to revolve around), but choosing words that will engage and entertain my readers even while helping them is a bit harder. It takes a little time, a little polish and *gasp* maybe even a second draft!
I made a promise to myself recently about WA. I can't afford annual yet but I'm going to keep doing monthly until I can, and I'm committing to 2 years here to work on and develop my site and business. It's a financial commitment as much as a time-based one, and one I am excited to make. When those 2 years are done I'll look at where I am and make a new decision based on that, but that gives me the time to do what I most want - to create something I'm proud of.
This all comes at the end of the second of three weeks of 17 hour days. I'm tired and happy, doing all kinds of things I love and also taking steps toward a future which grows clearer and clearer in my mind. Things are coming together, and it's going to be amazing.

Hi Tracie, best wishes for your planned journey, I really like your take on things, especially around writing that second draft can be what creates that engaging content for sure, many times we rush it I am sure taking time lets us reflect on what we are producing thank you for the reminder.
