Pain and pleasure

Many years ago I was reading a book by Anthony Robins,Tony had talked about pain and pleasure. I never forgot reading that over the years as it really give me something to think about.

As a lot of us know Tony is a success couch and has a lot of people come to his training events. People would ask him questions about success. One of the things he said is that people fail because of two things, ( PAIN AND PLEASURE ).

For every action there is a reaction. Pain and pleasure work together. People fail because of pleasure. This might sound nuts but think about it. People want to make life better but at that moment people take a form of pleasure of where they are in life, so they take no ACTION . They fear by taking action it might cause PAIN.

Something like I would like to make a lot of money PLEASURE but if i do I would have to pay more tax's PAIN. So from this example you can see just how pain and pleasure work together.

The key here is make pain and pleasure work to your advantage. Every little thing we do in every minute of every day we are always trying to avoid pain and gain pleasure. We just have to CONTROL PAIN AND PLEASURE . If you don't pain and pleasure it will control you.

One of my pains was trying to find an online business that was honest and not a scam. Thankfully I remembered what Anthony said when I was reading his book years ago. I took action and joined wealthy affiliate. I now have found a honest place with friends willing to help when I get stuck.

To all the thousands of members here at wealthy affiliate I wish to say thank you for all your help.

Wealthy affiliate is a pleasure gain.

Thanks for reading. Jim Hamilton

Thank you Jim nice article.

hi Jim
and welcome to WA! I do not know of Anthony Robins but what he said makes sense. For every action, there is a reaction and an opposite. And sometimes we limit our actions because we anticipate pain. But sometimes it is necessary for us to act and face our fears. As we often find out that it is not as painful as we thought it would be.
