I want to put pages under a main heading but I don't need that heading to be a page.
In Appearance-Menus, such a page should have # in URL.
It will behave the way you wanted, so you can add sub-menu in the usual way. Jovo
I have a few built that way. When you create it, give the name and then include in menu. I just tested again on my site, done in half a minute. You may see some of my pages of that type:

How do I make a page that is nothing but a tab I can put other sub-pages under?

I couldn't put the link here but I just looked this up on youtube and typed in "creating subpages" and there are many videos on this.

When I have been watching these videos in affiliate bootcamp, I can't tell why some would be pages instead of posts and the other way. How do you decide and how did that help clean
Hey Tony I think a page is for your website a post is note about anything. Its a small blog.

It's really up to you how you want to set up your pages. It is usually considered a page if there are many parts to it. A post is dealing with a more specific topic, while a page covers a wide range of topics. Hope this helps :)

I went to Kyle's scam website and noticed that several pages are in the side bar. How do put them there instead of on the top bar?

You need to go into Wordpress Appearance, Menus.
Create a new Menu and add the pages that you want in your sidebar to this menu.
Then if you go to your appearance widgets area you should see a custom menu widget.
Drag this custom menu widget over to the right-hand side into you sidebar.
Open up the sidebar look at the custom menu widget and you have the option to choose a menu. Choose the new menu you created previously.
You have the option to include a title if you want or just leave the field blank.
