I am a 3 week old again!

Today marks a special event in my Wealthy Affiliate life. I have been here for 3 weeks now!! I'd like to start off by thanking everyone for being awesome to socialize with and for all the help with everything from site building to writing articles. This has been one of the most enjoyable and fun things I've done / been apart of in a long time.

One thing you hear from a lot from the newer members (me included at one point) is "can I really make money at this?" or "how long till i'll start making money?" and the common answers from the experienced WA members are typically "this is a marathon not a sprint" or "what step in the training are you on? oh course 1 lesson 2? ok continue on with the training and it will help explain everything."

I admit those answers could be a little frustrating because when you are brand new and so pumped up for your new business and website you want to make money like right now man. But what you learn very fast is those answers that you didn't want to hear were actually good advice and make sense a ton more down the road then right at first.

Here is the simple truth about making money:

You CAN make money at this. You most likely will not make big money fast. You can make big money after some time, hard work and persistence. Anything worth doing is worth putting time into and doing right.

Everyone's case is different as well take me for example. In my previous blog I had made some small money from Google Adsense and I was only 13 days into my WA adventure. I have made enough off it now to more then cover my WA and Jaaxy membership cost for the first month. I was happy with this but I have also been counselled by more experienced members here at Wealthy Affiliate to think about reducing the amount of Adsense ads I have on my page or to even take them down completely. The reason is because although you can make a little bit of money with Adsense it looks spammy and also floods the space around my WA banners. Also when someone clicks the ad they are taken off my site. The goal is to keep people on your website reading your content.

You see I am after the big fish. I am hungry. I must also be patient to catch the prize I am after.

So when do the Big fish come? Back to those beginner questions again, right? Will it be 1 month, 3 months, 12 months or 2 years?

Nobody can really tell YOU how long it will take you to be successful. However if you are looking for something life changing then you will put all your efforts into it and you will do this for as long as it takes until you find your success. THIS is how one achieves something great. This is how you will succeed at anything in life. Don't ever give up and remember if one human being can do it then so can you.

If you read all of it I really appreciate those of you who took the time. Stay strong and fight for your dreams. Don't let them fade away.
