In your Word Press admin area open the PageLines menu (it should be right under dashboard). Then go to Site Options and then Color Control. When you click under the little square in the box named Page Background a window will open, that lets you chose the background color.

Yes I know that one I am looking to change the site back ground not the page background. Thank you
Did you try it out? On my site it changes the site background. Or it's the page background but applied to all pages which has the same effect. Did you play around with the color settings? Sometimes when you get stuck, it helps to just try things that at first sight seem illogical.
