Working On Categories and Canonical URLs
My website is making progress and I have been looking for ways to better it and
manage it as it grows. Two things I have been working on to help things along
have been categories and cononical URLs.
Categories
I am getting more and more posts and I noticed before that all my content was
marked as Uncategorized. That is a default by Wordpress and if you want to
change it then you have to specify what it is on your own. Nobody makes the
categories for you.
The addition of Categories to your site is a smart idea and it help your
visitors see their choices before exhausting themselves trying to look through
a lot of blog pages. You can organize your posts and specify the category they
are in and it makes so much content available really easily.
There is a good teaching here at WA on the addition of Categories to your site.

Canonical URLs
The other topic I have been working on this week has been dealing with Google
indexing and trying to get all of my content indexed by Google. I have been
having issues with this and it's not so easy to figure out.
I have updated many posts and Google might have me in a queue to get indexed
"along the line". I want my traffic to get better and it seems only logical to
be sure many posts are indexed. I have seen a lot of content marked as Excluded
and I don't know why.
I have looked into Canonical tabs to be sure Google doesn't have issues with my
content and there is a good teaching here at WA about the Canonical URLs.

Even if you have canonical URLs it doesn't mean Google will index your content
but it is a good step toward having a friendly relationship with Google.
As I say these are the two things I have been working on this week and they are
good topics to have under your belt.

Hi there! Because I am very new to WA this article kinda of confuses me. But like everything I do here, I will check out your links and get familiar with this.
So thanks for the info.
Thanks for taking the time to comment and if you stay with the training you will grow at it. When you first start you may not notice these points but it's good to keep them in mind. You can always come back to this post,
