Our websites are always growing and regularly we add new content and features
to enhance and add to it.
Since our websites are dear to us and are our "baby" we want to guard and
protect them so they thrive and last, so it is a good idea to be sure to backup
the data files on a regular basis.
Everytime you backup your site it stores your data in an up-to-date backup
folder which we can archive in a safe place in case there is ever damage to the
site or it crashes. Nobody wants this to happen but there are cases where it

does, either by accident, a poor move or even an act of nature, but it can
happen. And the best solution for this, if it ever happens, is to use the
backup data files to restore the site to its last previous backup, which saves
a lot of time, instead of rebuilding the whole site from scratch.
There are several ways to backup the site but the best one I've found is using
the FTP backup method with the FileZila software. It is safe and functional
plus there is a great training right here at WA from Marion Black.
