2 Month WA Progress

Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted something so here goes nothing :-)

Almost 2 months I'm now a member at Wealthy Affiliate and I have created two websites since then.

My thoughts so far:
Wealthy Affiliate is a great source of information if you want to start an online business.
It's a lot to take in at first but if you are dedicated you can create a great looking website in no time.
I'm used to making websites the old fashioned way (Dreamweaver + html) so I know a thing or two about the frustrations that go with it.
Wordpress isn't perfect but it's definitely a lot more user friendly than dreamweaver for instance. You can literally have a website up and running within minutes, thanks to the theme support it even looks good.

My pitfalls:
As a niche for my first website I chose poker since I like playing it on occasion.
Soon after I discovered that I didn't have a whole lot to tell about it, certainly not to write several interesting articles each week.
Today I got a great tip during commenting on an other member's website:
If you have writers block go visit some forums regarding your niche, what are popular topics and go from there. This is as brilliant as it is simple for an idea and I'm fully motivated to post new interesting content on my poker site on a regular basis from now on.

My motivation:
Financial independence remains my main goal in life without having to worry about a 9-5 job. I realize that this won't be for tomorrow but I'm definitely motivated to reach this one day. I hope Wealthy Affiliate can show me the way. My second website is all about the stuff I'm doing to generate a passive income online. For now I have enough things in my head to talk about and if writers block ever sets in I will remember the pitfalls section.
