The Starting Point

For years I have been racking my brains to find the perfect business to start. I have looked in to so many options and they all had a lot of potential, until I came across the pitfalls and barriers to make them happen.

After a lot of research, I found affiliate marketing and thought I'd give it a go. So I started my first website reviewing mountain bike clothing and accessories.

I have been working on it for a few hours after work each night. But this wasn't enough to make the progress that I wanted. So this is my last full week at work. I am taking the gamble and going part-time!

The current situation

I know this is not going to make lots of money quickly, but really want to make this work. The feedback from all the WA guys so far has been great and I'm pleased how it is turning out.

I'm still tweaking how my reviews are going to look and I'm learning about getting them ranked.

Next week there will be a big push to get more content on the site and I can't wait!

Questions for the experienced marketers

I see lots of blogs on here about, how hard everyone is working and the "I believe!" type posts. But I want to hear from the people who have made a career out of doing this.

Am I going to have to wait years to start making money?

Do I need multiple sites? If so do I need to start them ASAP?

The next few months

I am going to make a list of end goals, minimum weekly tasks, minimum daily tasks and what I need to do to make progress beyond those tasks.

Does this sound like the right plan of action?

It would be great to hear from those of you that have "made it".
