Are bad comments better than no comments?
So I've very recently joined WA (still on my sweet 20$ first month :) ) and I been using the comment tab a lot, to give and receive comments on my site.
The last time I did this however I got this comment:
I think this posses a very good question. If your site is older and has more traffic it would make sense to just ignore this types of comments... But being a very new site is a different story.
I decided to accept it and respond to it:
Has anybody got a similar experience?
What would you guys have done?Is it better to have this type of comments over no comment at all? (for a new site)

Me personally despite me not having any comments nor having a lot of content on my site yet. I can say that it is nice constructive criticism, I don't think it is to bad not to keep. I would keep it and possible think about the comment. Now do I agree with the comment this person made? Kind of sort of me when i go to a site, I don't really look at the about me at first I just go to the content first. Eventually if I find the website is good for me to come back too and have time, I will go back and check the "about me". I would focus on getting content out and trying to make it as good as possible, so you can get more traffic and more comments on the content you made. I hope that helps you in any way
It does help! thanks so much mathew! I thought the same thing with the about me page. And I agree with criticism he made being good and constructive. It's just in the wrong place, that belongs to site feedback... not site comments haha

I say better to have them than not to have anything, at least at first. It would be nice if people read the comment guidelines before jumping in but oh well... what are you going to do right :)
