Three Gains of Newness
Dear Newbie,
I stumbled onto this platform by accident, but that’s a story for another day.
It appears though that my being here is an answer to my prayer. Time will reveal how true this perception is. It’s just what I believe right now and wanted to share with you before I forget.
I am 18 hours old here (as at the time of posting this). I am still feeling my way around. I have set goals. And added milestones and their timelines, for a goal without a deadline is but a dream. My words this day are to you because you just joined.
As you settle in, I want you to keep in mind that there are gains from newness. Gains that time and familiarity can strip away without us being aware that they’re gone. I’d like to share three of those gains that are relevant to our decision to be here.
The Gain of Being New to Online Business. If you truly are new to this vast, noisy, intriguing world, great! We have the privilege of emotions and expectations that, if rightly channeled and kept positive, can open our eyes to see things that we may miss 6 or 12 months from now. You’ll hear about the billions of people in the world and the increasing rate at which people are flocking to online spaces to find solutions. How does one carve out a portion of that vast space and find financial freedom and lasting meaning from it?
Truth be told, I’m new and scared. I’m also excited. And curious. And expectant. These are the wonders of newness and I’m bottling them all because I want to stay as unstoppable as I feel right now. As I get more immersed in this new world, I don’t want to forget what this first day feels like and lose the wonder of it all.
IF interested, please do the same. If you haven’t already, dive in and set your goals. If you have, take your journal and put specific dates to those goals. It’s not required, but please set your dates. Write/print it out and paste it where you can see it. Challenge yourself to put in the work and give your success in the online business space a chance.
The Gain of Being New to the World of Affiliate Marketing. Awesome! Join the party. Follow the steps. I love that there are people to welcome you as soon as you land here. I love that there’s a structure and a system that makes it easy to navigate the resources. I love that you’re encouraged to start applying what you’re learning. Blessed are those who are new and have veterans to show them the ropes and equip them with the tools and the mindset to make things work! That’s been my experience here over the last several hours. I’ve learned a lot and I’m not even done with the basic modules yet.
Embrace your newness. From what I’ve heard, an exciting new world awaits. I can’t wait to explore that world. Ask yourself: Where do you want to go in the online business space of affiliate marketing?
If you need to escape to a quiet place to figure that out, please do so. Before your first 24 hours is gone. Go through Lesson 1 and the first part of Lesson 2. Stay excited about wanting to find out what’s in Lesson 3 but restrain yourself. Challenge yourself to settle on the answer to that question: Where do you want to go in the online business space of affiliate marketing?
The Gain of Being New to WA. Welcome also to this world. Me too! I’m still on the starter plan and will be until I’ve mined all it’s got. I’m salivating at what awaits in Premium. Here to build a business, I plan to implement as I learn, and have fun in the process. See how many people stopped by to say hi as you came in? Have you started listening to Kyle yet? Gotten a sense of what WA is, why they started it, how, and how they’re keeping things real here?
From my limited knowledge of a few hours, you are in the right place. As someone who got here before you (again, just a few hours before, if you’re reading this around the time it was posted), I can tell you that this is a great place for newbies and scaredy cats (like me!). A great place to indulge your curiosity and nurture your excitement and expectations that the online business space can become your home turf. That you can learn whatever successful online business owners know and do and you can do the same.
Lots of dizzying amount of info. But stay focused. Go with the flow that’s been mapped out for you. Don’t jump too high now beyond the outline and you’ll be able to keep the stars in your eyes and heart.
I asked myself this question and I’m asking you now: What do you need to get to your desired place? That place that you decided is where your heart longs to go in the online business space of affiliate marketing?
I’m holding on to my confidence that WA is a great place to learn and grow in this new world. I’m trying to figure out what I need to start building my online business. And diving in to start building those brick by brick as WA hands it out to me.
What part of your business would you like to build at the end of your first 24 hours? First 3 days? First 7 days?
Set your goals. Expect to succeed. Work to succeed. If others have succeeded, I believe that I can too. So can you. Let’s dive in!
