This Was "Freebie" Week!
I have been trying to generate some buzz around My Doggie Doodle and some of the products I'm representing, so this week was Give Away week. I thought that I would try giving some samples away for free to get people interested in what I'm offering.
For one product, I have two friends who have expressed some interest, so I paid for two sample packs, which I am sending to my two friends. I also decided to offer a give-away of 3.3 lb. bags of dog food. To enter they just had to tell me why their dog should win. Now I have many more responses than I have bags of dog food, so I have no idea how I am going to decide who gets the food. I will probably end up putting names into a box and pulling three winners. Didn't think that one all the way through!
I'm hoping that if they get the food and the dog likes it they might be inclined to buy it going forward, since it is a healthy brand. One woman, with dogs and foster dogs wrote that her dogs only get the best, and that she would love to win because it's only the best for her babies. Tough choice. Do I go with the best potential customer or do I go with the one that tugs at my heartstrings the most?
Lesson Learned: Either get over yourself or stop offering to give something away where there are more contestants than prizes!
I did have an interesting event, someone left a comment on My Doggie Doodle who owns a collar and leash company. She asked if we would review her product on our site. She is going to send us a catalog and samples! I thought this was cool, especially if we're going to get samples. It actually looks like a really good product I've not heard about. We'll see!
So that's the news here. It seems that since I can write as many blogs as I want now, I don't have all that much to say. There is a method behind the "1 blog a day" madness. Certainly, Kyle and Carson know what they are doing!Publish

I know, these posts are breaking my heart. I'm going to have to see if there is a way to get some samples and send out more than just the 3 bags of food. Plus, I have to pay to ship everything. What was I thinking?
I can only imagine the anxiety you must be going through, I know you have a kind heart but sometimes we can't let our emotions put us deeper in a hole. You had a great idea that had unexpected results, all we can do is learn from our mistakes and move on. Sorry this didn't work out as expected Sandra.
Thank you, Jazmin. I'm trying to find a way to send a little something to everyone who responded. We'll see what the final tally is. Like I said, this page doesn't get much traffic normally. Live and learn!
I don't know if you have any ebooks, but if you do that would be something to give, at least you wouldn't have to pay for shipping.

Well, I kind of knew there wouldn't be that much traffic, so it's always a risk, but I've been watching that page since it's been up there. But you're right Tommy, that would be a problem.
Congratulations on the offer for a review.....first make sure they are legit...then figure out something reciprocal to request of her.....does she have a website as well?....backlinks?....guest blog?....$1,000,000,000? lol....but something.....
Rosie, you are too funny! Yest, they are legit! They are actually pretty impressive. Their product has been approved by the American Arthritis Foundation, they've been mentioned for a few good design qualities. Maybe a backlink to an authority site, or I asked if she had an affiliate program.
You got it! Guess I've been burned so many times personally, I have minor anxiety attacks it will happen to someone here! Actually, I believe that if you don't at least put a reminder out there and something happens...then you are part at fault for not saying....it is great when you receive such offers, your exposure alone will benefit greatly....now their customers/followers will also be drawn to you!
Rafflecopter is great for that kind of thing. You can manually enter or create a giveaway box with requirements for entry.
