Welcome to spring!

Well I think its spring, we are still getting snow, rain, more snow with high winds. The temps have been in the 30’s and 40’s with high winds so it feels colder than it is. But today it hit 50 and feels like 50. The sun is hot and bright with the birds covering the corn field where the snow has melted to pick up what corn, and other feed they can get. Looking out the windows can see the water making mud in dirt drives.

But What do people do when it gets like this.

The only thing they can do. Enjoy it. Think what makes you happy, walking with someone you love, holding hands looking at what Old man winter cover up. Oh, look someone lost a hub cab, wonder if it was from the winter or it hitting the wonderful Maine potholes, that could take out the whole front end of your car or truck. Welcome to spring lol.

Or you could feed the birds:

My mom and grandmother always fed birds in the feeds my dad would make. He always said he did it to make them happy, but I think it was him who like the birds the most. He would sit in the kitchen window and watch the first birds of spring come. First would be the (flying circus squirrels),

trying to climb the greased-up poles, slipping and sliding. Than you would see the little birds come in, chickadees than the little yellow finches, until the blue jays and cardinals come home than they become little bullies.

How to feed the Birds.

You got to know how different birds eat. Not so much as what they eat. According to the Audubon, Birds eat at different levels. Sparrows, juncos and towhees usually feed on the ground. While flinches and cardinals feed in the shrubs. But I have seen flinches eat out of bird feeder about 3 feet off the ground (but this is when the flying circus squirrels, are seen to come in to play), but it is fun watching them sometimes to, there are many types of bird feeders out there to choose from. CLICK HERE and you will find many different and beautiful feeders, and baths for the birds. You can get everything here like seeds, and even feeders to keep the (Flying circus squirrels) out.

The box stores do have some simple ones but not a lot too choice from. Like I said Welcome to Spring!

Spring is the time of the revival!

Have a nice day!

No winter here, but we still have magnificent birds. I have one who I have christened. "honey". She is a hummingbird. I have watched her grow as she often comes and knocks at the kitchen window.

I love spring. My favorite time of the year. Thanks for sharing.

Hey neighbor! I’m in NH, it was a beautiful spring day indeed 🌸

yes it was hope your doing well on WA nice to meet you

Summer, autumn, winter, all seasons have their charm, but I love spring the most, The first day when the sun shows its face after a long winter, and the only thing you can hear are the birds, and the snow that melts, nothing beats that

I was just thinking to myself, "spring has finally sprung". Temperature here in Tennessee is around 70 today. Getting the itch to get the lawn mower out and cut the weeds. ;-)
