I applied for an affiliate program but I think I have to change my domain name and email since I have the name of the item I am marketing in the domain which is a trademark name
Yep. (these 3 letters look small but can mean big work). A new domain name defines a new, blank website. However, if you back up all your content from your existing site then it's just a cut and paste job. You might want to take the opportunity to change themes or do other improvements so this is actually a positive experience.
Once you purchase the domain name that is your domain name. To change the name you would need to purchase another domain and then move all of the site content into the new domain.
You are right you want to move away trademarked name.
