Make it a challenge
Remember when you were 6 years old and you used to run, or do anything, just for the fun off it? These days people get caught up in doing stuff just because someone somewhere said its health to do so, and when that happens the fun becomes an obligation. It actually becomes - "work in disguise".
The real issue isn't, when sport, activate or hobby becomes an obligation, the problem becomes when your expectations aren't meet. What I really mean here is: when you say you are going to run everyday, or finish that blog, or eat health and then life kicks in, and you miss a couple of days of training, eat that last muffin, or just don't feel like finishing that blog. By the end of the week you start to doubt and question yourself; "Is is really worth it? Do I really want to do this?"
The simple and honest answer is - I don't know! And if you don't commit and try, the answer will almost away be the same. But, for some people commitment is an issue and, in all honesty, committing to something life changing brings a reasonable amount of stress.
On top of all that, there aren't any short cuts in achieving your goals, ether. Still, people will try to cut corners to achieve there goal quicker, but most of us are here for the long run. Trying to cut corners will only set you up for future failure and anger.
Don't worry there is a way for you to tackle this problem and still come out no top. I truly believe in - when it stops being fun stop doing it. Let me explain, when you were a kid, you didn't care why you want to run, you just ran. You ran because you wanted to challenge yourself and see if you can reach that corner quicker then your friend. Now let me ask you, was that fun or was that a boring duty you had to do? For me having a challenge would always force me to perform better and achieve that goal.
So, by challenging yourself everyday, all of a sudden those duties fade away and become fun activities. The massage here is, challenge yourself and the rest will follow. The way you do this is by tricking your mind to a different way of seeing the problem and overcoming it.
