Sponsored Links in Your Posts
The other day I was trying to figure out how to insert sponsored links into my posts so that I did not have to do every one individually.
Maybe because of my theme, or for some other reason I was not able to get the code to work in the editor - head.php and insert the code, for one because it needed to go into the body of the post and second in the editor there is a place called body, and I tried that, however it did not work either.
Well after quite some time, tinkering and many days later, I finally asked on WA and received many ideas. Out of those, the one I received from Tony Matthews was the one that finally worked for me. https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/
It installed easily and worked as advertised. If you wish to see exactly what I am talking about you can visit my site,http://healingbodyandmind.org/ open any post, scroll down to the end of the post and you will see the sponsored links.
So I wanted to take a moment to make everyone aware, if they run into this issue what they could try- and to say a big THANK-YOU to Tony and everyone who responded with ideas. Special mention to Loes!

Thank you for sharing this information with us Tom! I really like your article on ginger! :)
The "from around the web" part? I never really knew what sponsored posts meant. Was this in the training? I need to look into that..
Hi Angie- I am not sure if it is included in the training or not. However I am using sponsored links in a limited way as additional monetizing for my site-I am keeping the posts relatively free of ads or monetizing links.
It's good to see that the advice you received from the good folks here at WA help solve your problem. It's even better to see you thank them for taking the time to help. I'm sure they appreciate the simple "Thank you".
TJ, what I would be interested in is that related posts plugin.
Wouldn't sponsored links just take people away from your site?
Hi Forrest- Thanks for the feed back. If you were not aware the related links come with the theme and are my posts-I am trying to get away from heavily monetizing my posts, so sponsored links are ok, and like Kyle says we can't be afraid to let our prospects steer away from our site, if they come back you have a sale and if not they probably were not going to purchase anyway.
All the best-Tom
Thanks for the reply Tom, yes, i knew the related posts were your posts, I just didn't know they were an option of your theme,. I have been looking for a related posts plugin but have been cautious due to possible slow load times,.
It does look like the sponsored links are a good choice for you
Nice work. Your site looks great

Hi there, when you say "sponsored links", are you referring to the Amazon ad at the end of your posts that says: Shop Related Products?
Yes I was. But at the time it was Taboola I was using, since then I replaced them with Amazon related products links...
Ohh I see... Thanks for the reply.
Always thought there is a minimum traffic requirement for Taboola and Outbrain. Is this true?
Not that I am aware of, just couldn't get Taboola to work right on my site and their Tech support was poor...
Ok I see... Thanks for sharing
