Is or has anyone been experiencing WordPress running PAINFULLY SLOW! It starts out fine, moving back and forth from editing to refreshing and or saving and then back to editing. An then one day you are in WordPress editing and it happens. The Big Slowdown....It starts when you finish a segment of your draft and you go to save it, and you wait, and wait and go fix a cup of tea, come back to your PC and wait, and oh- it moved, I can continue with my draft. If you pour black strap molasses on a hill

Interesting article by Steven Bancarz I wanted to Share......"The eye is the window to the universe, and some would say they are also windows to the soul... We have heard this phrase get passed around before: “The eyes are the windows of the soul”. People usually say this when they can see pain, anger, or some other emotion in somebody else’s eyes. But recent research gives a whole new meaning to this phrase. The eyes are not only windows to emotions, they are windows to the soul. Al

The other day I was trying to figure out how to insert sponsored links into my posts so that I did not have to do every one individually. Maybe because of my theme, or for some other reason I was not able to get the code to work in the editor - head.php and insert the code, for one because it needed to go into the body of the post and second in the editor there is a place called body, and I tried that, however it did not work either. Well after quite some time, tinkering and many days later, I f

A Generation of thinkers, Really? This young man is brilliant and inspiring. He brought tears to my eyes to see him talk about his vision for cleaning up our oceans. It definitely brings more than a ray of hope for our environment, but many kudos to our younger generation as well! This is what I call thinking four dimensionally.Leading one of the most ambitious ocean cleanup efforts ever, is a young Dutch man.His name is Boyan Slat, and he's come up with a very creative and imaginative way to redu

Calling any Widget Guru- to help diagnosis a particularly bothersome poltergeist widget that just does not want to cooperate. Installed it and worked on it for about (2)weeks now and it is working me over, by not working at all. That's how it started anyway. It's amazing what the mind can conjurer up when either tired or overworked. I had been trying to install a widget two ways, one via plugin and the other with code and unbeknownst to me both would work, but for the life of me I could not figu

California which is going through one of it's worst droughts in a long time, may soon be in need of these! This is what we can do when we put our minds to the task at hand. A genius yet very simple way to produce healthy, bacteria-free water. This is awesome, go to this link and watch the video and let me know your thoughts! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfliSUvkGwk

I saw this article in Indian Life Magazine and thought it was interesting, then tried to vet it, but was getting all sorts of varying information, some concurring, some not, just all over the place. Below is directly from the article. Any thoughts? "Inuit elders say the earth has shifted, tilted or as they put it, "wobbled" to the north and they all agree "Their sky has changed!" They say it is becoming increasingly hard to predict the weather, something that is a must in the Arctic. The Inu

Researchers led by George Church at Harvard University have copied and pasted into the genome of an Asian elephant, genes from a frozen woolly mammoth remains, a species that went extinct around 4,000 years ago. The tissue cultures represent the first time woolly mammoth genes have been functional since the species went extinct They spliced the genes for the mammoths’ small ears, subcutaneous fat, and hair length and color into the DNA of elephant skin cells in tissue cultures using a DNA

Photo via YouTube/Patent Yogi/Lucasfilm A new patent granted Boeing Corp. is looking a lot like science fiction. Just like the glowing energy shields seen protecting troops, machines and even spacecraft in Star Wars, the design named "Method and system for shock wave attenuation via electromagnetic arc", uses energy to deflect potential damage. Designed to protect targets, such as a vehicle or building from the damaging effects of shock waves from a nearby impact, the system is not designe
