My Bitcoin Journey

Last Update: June 28, 2019

To say I’m excited is an understatement, let me tell you why in this short blog.

On the 1st December 2018 I decided I wanted to buy into bitcoin, yes I know people have mixed feelings about crypto currencies, but I had got so fed up of all the get rich internet schemes at the time that I just had to try it out.

I did a little bit of research (as you do) , and started off by setting up my account and making my first purchase into bitcoin with just £10 . As you probably have guessed I was only testing the waters & to see how the whole thing worked.

Over the next month or so I continued buying small amounts of bitcoin & on a few occasions I withdrew small amounts of profit ,but once I realised how much potential there really was I got brave and started investing £100 at a time . Let me warn you here that the value of bitcoin can also go down as well as up so you can lose money.

At this point the bitcoin crash happened and it dropped a big amount but since I had recently come into some money I just knew it had to go back up at some point. So I left it at that and almost forgot about it ,once in a while I’d have a quick check to see what’s happening .

It’s now a few months on and 2 weeks ago i went premium on WA and knuckled down with the training, and here’s the best part of all. As i was working on my website the last two days i randomly decided to check up on my crypto’s , and was i in for a big surprise!

I had just made £500 in 2 days !

Now I’m sat here sipping my tea ... and saying to my wife “ I TOLD YOU SO “😀

Please leave your thoughts & comments below also i will be happy to answer any questions

Also if you would like to get involved ive left a link for you to get started.

As with every investment, there is up and downs. Stick with it, things always go up again. As you have noticed.

Yes you are right .. it’s an old saying that goes “what goes up must come down” & vice versa ...

Well done!
I bought into Bitcoin in August 2017 when it was just over $4k. Had I done it just a month earlier I'd have got it at $2k.
When it was rising spectacularly I said I'd cash in at $20k but it crashed just before it got there!
I decided to 'hodl' as the jargon goes and I'm glad I did as it's now on the rise again.
I think it's got a very bright future. The very people who talked it down are the ones who manipulated the market to engineer the crash which brought it down to a level for them to buy in massively.
Now those same people will be up to their tricks again to ensure another meteoric rise which we can all cash in on!
Have you read the book by Dominic Frisby 'Bitcoin - The Future Of Money'? It's very informative and I got mine on Amazon for about 8 bucks.
Cheers

Thanks Rich ... i can totally relate as i was first looking into it when the price was around £4k , but the whole subject i find so fascinating .. i personally read about all the success stories & recently read in the press that the Russian president was also looking to make he’s own crypto currency ... this just encouraged me to wait and buy even more bitcoins .. (im greedy like that)😄
Do you use coinbase or any other to deal your crytpos?

No, I was mining them and am still doing so on an open ended contract. My understanding of crypto at the time I got on board was not up to a level where I would have trusted myself to trade on exchanges, etc, without making some mistakes I would later come to regret.
I've got mining contracts in Bitcoin, Dash, LiteCoin, Monero and ZCash. I'm just sitting on them and taking passive advantage of the current increase in prices. On the platform I'm on I'm able to trade my crypto for physical gold at wholesale prices direct from the Argor Hereaus refinery in Switzerland, who produce around a third of the World's bullion.
Whatever happens to cryptos, gold is a stable and long terms store of wealth that has maintained it's intrinsic value since people first started using it to trade with 6000 years ago.
Here in the UK it's not subject to either VAT or Capital Gains Tax, so that's my focus on the legacy I'll be leaving to my kids.
Cheers

Good for you! I started playing around in the stock market in 2016, and looked at Bitcoin; never bought it. Wish I had.

I did get some good pot stocks and ended making a nice piece of change on them.

Yes! She can hardly use her comp but has decided to invest some money into bitcoin. Go figure. (No stopping this 72yr old that's for sure)
I haven't said anything (as yet) as I watch my inheritance go down the drain daily... lol
So, yes, she will be pleased to hear this news. (Unless she knows it already and is hiding her profits from me heheh).

Best of luck with your bitcoin investment,
Alenka

Well it all depends at what point you decide to buy into it ... some people will have lost money and some will have gained ...
