Organizing A Place and Time for Writing is Essential for Success
Making A Dedicated Space
I recently was packing my belongings to make yet another move and as I was doing so decided to go through and see what items I really didn't need any longer and get rid of them to make my move a little lighter. As it turned out I decided to stay where I am residing for a couple more months. That sure felt good to do some Spring cleaning. It helps free up your mind as well. It also helped me decide to get back to this journey here at WA.
By doing all the cleaning out and packing I now have made a space that I dedicated for writing and my continued training here at Wealthy Affiliate. Removing clutter and making a space inviting can help your mind flow better when you are writing an article or a blog. By having a dedicated space just for your writing area it will not become a catch all for everything else that might deter you from sitting down and being inspired to write something.
Writing Ideas Down
It's important to take the time to write down ideas that come to you if you write articles, blogs or books. If I don't write them down when I think of them most times I don't remember them the same way they came to me the first time and usually the first time they were better. I think it is good practice to be a note taker and write in a journal. It is a practice I need to work on myself. I used to keep a journal in years past. Some years I wrote and then other years I didn't. For some people it can be difficult to develop good writing habits. It takes practice. That's why having a journal is a good idea. Keeping a journal everyday gets you into a practice of daily writing. You never know, may use what you write for a story at some point. FINDING TIME TO WRITE
When I dedicated a place to set up to do my continued trainings here at WA and writing, I also when writing out my goals decided I had to dedicate a certain amount of time to writing as well. Each person needs to figure out what works best for them. It could be that they go by a clock or a certain time of day. They might get up and exercise, shower, eat and then write. Others might have on a goal list to write 5 articles or blogs a week while someone else might write at night because they work a day job. Not all entrepreneurs can go by an actual clock or time schedule but they can have some sort of schedule that they make that works for them.
I have a goal list and it is not long but it is a start and I can add to it as I conquer the one I made. One of the most important things you can do when organizing your space and making time to write is to make and write a goal list and put it up so you can see it every day to keep you motivated for success.

Thanks for that tip Chigs. I think I will look into that app. I have a memo app on my phone that I write things in but not strictly writing ideas. It would be nice to have a separate place to do so on my phone.
