Don't Remove the Date in Wordpress - Make it look Evergreen like this!
You can add plug-ins that will remove the date and author but some themes may not work with it.
If your content is not date related you may choose not to disclose the date of your posts as people like to read what they feel is fresh content.
I found an easy way to make my content look like it was just posted this week.
You don't need to change codes, edit any files, or install any plugins.
Instead:
- Go to: Dashboard, Settings, General.
- Scroll down to "Date Format"
- **Next to "Custom" erase anything there and type in a lower case L, like this: l (this will post the day of the week your article was posted)
- Scroll down and Save Changes.
**If you erase everything on the "Custom" (another words leave it blank) it will leave you with a | after your author name and look funny.

If you are good with that do it, I just felt it looks nicer like this:

thanks. This answers a question I asked more than a week ago...Most of the time you may not want to change the date, but in this instance, I was reviving a wordpress site that I started a long time ago, I updated all the posts on it with new content, and was disgusted to see the original date remain. So this post will help me deal with the content on this particular blog.
