What If. . .?
Did you hear about this? On Friday, August 10th, an airplane was stolen (yes, stolen!) from Sea-Tac Airport (near Seattle). The person who stole it works for Hoizon Air and had clearance to be in the area where the plane was located. He is not a pilot, so they are unsure how he managed to get it up and flying. He flew for about an hour, then crashed onto an island in Puget Sound. Sadly, he was killed, but happily, no one else was hurt.
It got me to thinking, "What if he had crashed in a populated area?" "What if I was hurt, or killed, because of it?" "Is my business ready for that?"
Getting hit by an airplane is extremely unlikely, but there are other disasters that are more likely. Now, we hear a lot about tornadoes, floods, fires, etc. If any of these were to happen to you, would your business survive?
My intent is not to tell you specifics about how to put processes in place to protect and/or recover your business, but to encourage you to think about it.

I have listened to the audio of him talking to air traffic control and I am surprised at how easily he was able to steal a plane without being noticed. I worked at an airport and it is nearly impossible to get a plane free, backed up, etc without someone noticing. Seatac really screwed up. Also, if he were to hit a populated area it would be catastrophic
