Getting Started with the Help of WA
Hello Dear WA Community!
As a person who joined this community to gain knowledge about online marketing from the very scratch I would like to share some thoughts with you and I hope I will get some constructive comments and experiences from you ;)
After choosing a niche, a domain name and a wordpress template i was anxious to post my fist blog. I navigated through this community and kept reading all blogs i thought were helpful to me and even asked some questions which were mostly answered by experienced members.
But then I soon realised there are a few challenges which are hard to find a answer or guide for.
Firstly I decided not to create an English site but a German one - and with this the highly praised keyword tool Jaaxy could not become my best friend. I tried to find an alternative tool but it seems this is a struggle for most non English writer. I decided not to let this stop me and keep going building my site.
A little later, while still following the Certification Courses I should have asked for some comments on my site... I again was sure I can give comments to WA members but will not get any in return as my site is in German, and I did not find many German writers here yet. But guess what - I was so wrong! A dear member visited my site and realised google translates everything so he could read and comment my site! Isn't that awesome!
But a little later I stumbled upon another language hurdle - Google Plus. I realised this is more used and worked with in regions like the USA, Canada than here in the German part of Europe. So there is another point to decide if I can just follow the course or if I should choose another way for this task.
Yes and like this I move forward, little by little still not even daring to think how I am ever going to make a dollar with my site, but instead just concentrating to build a representable, informative site and learn as much as possible here about the online world.
And this leads me to the next point where you have to keep a cool head. This community is so catching! It is attempting to spend hours to read blogs, questions, write comments and search for people with common interest - and all this driven by the rank who gets lower and lower and gives you a smile on your face and the thought - yes even you might make it in this world. But yet I have to keep reminding me that I am not only here as a part of a knowledge pool but I also wanna create an amazing website which also needs some of my time ;)
How did you start here? Yes I understand the benefits of a good ranking, but as only one of thousands starters I believe I have to build myself first before I can become a valuable helper and ambassador in this community. Do you also agree that even though this is such a detailed and information loaded course and place, you need to keep being you, do things with your signature and keep your feet on the ground?
All the Best,
Tina
