Published A Post on Sales Funnels
I published an article on my site today regarding sales funnels. What they are, how to use them effectively and so forth.
It is a 1600+ word post with some media in the form of pictures and a Youtube video (shared by permission). I tried to use one of ours here at WA and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do it.
1. Did some pinning on a couple of my Pinterest boards to get the word out
2. Made sure I brought the post over to Google Console to request indexing
3. Also for the first time, I used a ghost writer to write the article. I think I'll pass on the opportunity next time. To expensive and too much editing to make it worthwhile for the price
Regarding the video again. I may have been able to capture a WA video on the subject using Screen Capture Pro Movavi on my Mac and then post it. I still have to experiment with that option to determne if it's even possible.
Just curious, has anyone reading this been able to embed a WA video into their external website post?
Thank you in advance for your comments. They are enormously appreciated. ;-)
All the best,
TimMoto

Also do sales funnels on my site, do not think that you can use WA videos, they are for members use only, which is part of the package which we subscribe to.
Stuart
Hi Stuart, you and Dave make good points. I'll refrain from trying to use them in my blogs for the time being. I certainly don't want to do anything improper. All the best.
Tim, I have not had any luck with video embeds on social media. I have tried Pinterest a few times.
Did I miss how to get to your post? I am on a mission to learn funnels.
Laura
Hi Laura, Thank you for your comment. It’s always appreciate getting comments from you..so per your comment, here you go if you want to review the post: Simply go on over to my profile, go to the right column on the page, all the way down to “follow me on” and you’ll see the URL to my site.
Thanks so much Laura
Good question, Tim. I haven't tried it, but I'll be following these comments to see the response. I haven't ventured into outsourcing content, just yet. Sorry to hear your experience wasn't all you expected. That's disappointing. I know there are some members who routinely use ghost writers. Maybe throw a question out there to see if you can find a better option - if you haven't already :-)
Hi Cris, I really appreciate your comments. There’s a few things I discovered when I got the article back from the ghostwriter.
Unless they are real pro’s, bloggers or affiliates they may not have the mindset to ‘season’ the write-up such that it reflects a style that’s consistent and feels to the reader, that In this case, I wrote it. I think that’s really important, but maybe I’m making too big a deal of it.
Secondly, it’s critical to make sure that the SCO/keywords are correctly inserted into the post.
And of course the use of pictures, graphics and in this case a video, all need to be placed into the article at the right place.
The last thing that came to mind earlier, was the missing opportunity to learn the topic more in-depth, if I had done the research myself.
So, plenty of work to do after receiving the write-up which is not a problem of course, but it does make you question the value proposition. I may be to judgemental after just one go at it.
Well, live and learn as they say. All the best to you, Cris.
Tim
I agree completely. I like the idea of outsourcing, but know it's a process finding the right writer who can produce content in the style and caliber you desire. You basically have to find someone long term and hone their talent over time until they can routinely deliver a solid product, then put them on autopilot. While I think putting in the time would be worth it, I don't have the time! I will definitely have a look at your post. I'm gathering all the info I can on funnels. Thanks, Tim.
Cris, since you mentioned you're doing research on sales/marketing funnels, I wanted to mention that I revised the post to include an example of a sales funnel in action based on feedback I received.
I also mentioned something about future follow up with the customer..sort of a 5th step.
Thanks again for your interest. All the best to you.
Hi Darren, thank you for the comment I appreciate it. Yes of course, if you’d like to read the post, go on over to my profile section all the way over to the right hand column underneath the blogs that are listed and you’ll see the “follow me on” option and you’ll find my website.
Simply go to the ‘learning’ menu, click on the drop-down and you should find the marketing funnels post.
Thank you.

Haven't done one; just embedded a couple of videos onto my website from YouTube.
