Indexing Your Pages on Search Engines

Lately I've been checking my posts on my main website to determine if they've been indexed in Google. I've been concerned about my traffic level (not as high as I'd like). As a result I had to make a few requests via the Googlel Console to get some of my pages indexed and will follow up on those.

It's not a bad idea for us to verify what is indexed from time to time particularly those of us who are prolific writers, since forgetting to request indexing can easily happen...take nothing for granted!

Also, I hope newbies will benefit from this brief reminder..all this was a mystery to me when I first started so to all newbies as well...here you go!

Naturally we want all of our site and page URLs indexed asap. A surefire way to get the request going is to take the initiative and copy and paste your URL as "new property" in the Google Console. You will always want to do this for all your new posts in particular.

But how do you know for sure which pages are indexed?

Try this method to determine which pages are Indexed: For Google, Bing and Yahoo, enter into the search bar, the URL of your domain with "site:" before the URL name as in the example here..."site:runningshoes.com". The results show all of your site's pages that are indexed. You will also see the current meta tags in the search engine's for each indexed page. Here is the training on this with more detail: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-get-your-con...

Try this method for those pages that do not appear: For those URLs that do not appear, this means that they have not yet been indexed. To get your pages indexed sooner rather than later take a look at this detailed guidance. This is training in more detail, on how to request indexing: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-and-why-to-swit...

I've tried both these methods and they worked perfectly. Hope this was beneficial for you.

Have a great day,
