Scratching Our Way To Success
It all started about a year ago on Valentine's Day, when Jane bought me a scratch map for a gift.
I thought it was very romantic and sweet and as we got down to scratching all the places we had visited together, we started to laugh and remember all our stories.
We really bonded!
And then Jane posted a video of me opening the Large World Scrath Map onto her Facebook account and a steady flow of people asking if they could get one started.
It was totally amazing!
A Small Business Was StartedOver the next few weeks Jane was selling more and more scratch maps, including Philippine Scratch Maps (we live in Manila).
Over the next few weeks and months Jane had a steady flow of business and we decided to start a website to support it, so that we could create a worldwide distribution.
So we joined Wealthy Affiliate and began following the training and some great things started to happen.
Whilst we have not yet sold directly from the website, we also started a Facebook group and got some attention.
The most amazing part of the story I think is that we realized just how big a Niche this can be.
Within just a couple of days, we had the following:
- 50 unique visitors to the new site
- 3.28 pages per session
- 6.29 minutes average duration
- Visitors from 10 different countries
Totally amazing in just a couple of days.
We are thrilled at what is yet to come!
So we just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been part of the growth, even just a small comment.

I think that's pretty great! FYI, I believe there are a few scratch maps on Etsy.com if you need another merchant.
