My progress so far - end of course 2, third attempt at website
So, this is my third attempt at creating a successful website as my other sites had various problems associated with them to do with niches I had chosen. Hopefully this will be more successful. My website is: http://thepcprogrammer.com/ and it is basically all about getting a better experience using your PC and about stuff to do with PCs such as CPUs and operating systems. My website covers this stuff:
- Speeding up your PC
- Mechanical keyboards
- Tips and tricks relating to your PC
- Gaming PCs and optimising PC for gaming
I sometimes write about other stuff as well, I purposely chose a domain which wasn't specific to anything in particular so I wasn't under the constraints of only writing about one thing.
Anyway, my progress so far has been decent I think. I've successfully changed my website and got it running fairly well. I've made a few posts and stuff, going through the training again (on my second website, I just did everything from memory which may have been partly why it failed as no doubt I will have forgotten to do some things) so I'm trying to make sure I do everything right this time ;)
Successes? Well I'm not really sure about that one... no idea if my site is ranking yet, not going to worry about that until I've got at least 15 posts- I only have 4 at the minute. I guess I'm pretty proud of the amount of comments I managed to get on one of my posts, thanks to the awesome WA community :D Hopefully Google will notice this engagement!
In the next 3 months I'd like to start getting some traffic and hopefully have around 60 posts- if I try and write a post every day this should be achievable. Just need to remember low hanging fruit keywords!
In the next 6 months I'd love to start earning revenue from my site. Maybe around £50 would be great! And it would be truly amazing to get even more than that :D
I'm going to keep working and go through the training, and hopefully my ambitions shall start to come true eventually :D
