My progress so far- End of Course 2
Ok, I have just completed the second course and now I'm almost onto the third course. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made. However I'm slightly disappointed about the rankings in Google thing.

I can't find my website ANYWHERE!! I type in the exact name of a post on Google and I can't find it (for any of my posts) so I don't think my website is ranked at all as I can't even find on page 5 of Google and stuff.
Does anyone know if, when making a post, you're meant to do anything in the All in One SEO Pack settings? All of my posts have a blank SEO title and description and I don't know if this is why my posts aren't getting ranked?
Anyway, I've made 4 posts so far and I think that I would call them quality content, at least 2 or 3 as some of them aren't finished yet.
I've also made a logo (which is also my profile picture) and made it as the favicon for my website which I'm quite pleased about.
In 3 months I hope to have a few users on my site helping me make content, etc.
In 6 months I hope I will have a small community of people posting their projects to my site and hopefully then I will have rankings in Google.
But can anyone help me out with why my posts aren't getting ranked? I might post a question about it if I don't get a response. Thanks :)

I'm at the same stage and also confused as to how I'm nowhere on google. Saw something about needing and XML site map. Not sure if that's the answer or if it's further into the course. Hope someone can provide solutions!
Yes, you guys should have the Google XML plugin for your website. In addition you'll want to setup Google Webmaster tools as well as Google analytics, and add your website so Google can index your website.
The training is within the courses. Not sure how far along you guys are so far, but you'll get there. You can also search for "google xml" in the W.A. search bar above. Literally any tutorial you need is there.
As for the All In One SEO pack, I first-handedly know this can be extremely confusing at first sight. But Kyle goes into great detail about what should be checked off and what shouldn't.
However, just take note when going forward, to create your Meta Title and Meta Descriptions for each post, using your keywords within them. This is what people on Google will see when they come across your site, so make sure it makes sense, and relates to your post. Think of it as a post excerpt in a way.
Also don't worry about the Google Meta keywords, just the title and description will be all you need.

Because I didn't know if I was meant to fill them in or not... and what kind of thing am I meant to put in them?
