🎯 Goal:

Create a longer, relaxing sleep video using clips from previous videos or older footage.

Step 1: Create a New Project

  1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro.
  2. Click "New Project".
  3. Name it something like “Sleep Video Compilation” and choose a save location.
  4. Click OK.

Step 2: Import Your Existing Videos

  1. Go to the Project Panel (bottom-left area).
  2. Right-click in the panel and select Import.
  3. Choose your older video files (MP4, MOV, etc.) that you'd like to reuse.
  4. Drag them into the Project Panel.

Step 3: Create a New Sequence

  1. Drag one of the imported videos onto the Timeline Panel — this will auto-create a sequence.
  2. Name your sequence (e.g., “Sleep Compilation 1”).

  2. Use the Selection Tool (V) to move clips.
  3. Add cross dissolves between clips (drag from Effects > Video Transitions > Dissolve > Cross Dissolve).

Step 5: Adjust Audio for Relaxation

  1. Lower the volume of each clip to a calming level.
    • Right-click the audio and select Audio Gain or use the Audio Clip Mixer.
  2. Add relaxing background audio (optional):
    • Import a royalty-free ambient track (e.g., soft rain, ocean waves).
    • Place it on Audio Track 2 under your video clips.
    • Loop or stretch the audio to match your full video length.

Step 6: Smooth the Flow

  • Trim unwanted parts:
    • Use the Razor Tool (C) to cut, then delete sections.
  • Slow down footage slightly for a calming effect:
    • Right-click a clip > Speed/Duration > reduce to 80-90%.

Step 7: Add a Title or Intro (Optional)

  1. Go to Graphics > New Layer > Text.
  2. Type something like “Relaxing Nature Scenes – Sleep Video”.
  3. Center the text and adjust font/opacity for a soft look.

Step 8: Export Your Final Video

  1. Go to File > Export > Media.
  2. Format: H.264 for YouTube or general use.
  3. Use a high-quality preset like YouTube 1080p HD.
  4. Click Export.

đź’ˇ Tips for Repurposing Older Content

  • Use looping: If a clip is relaxing, repeat it.
  • Change order of old clips to make it feel new.
