Where it stops nobody knows

Well, after a highly successful week I see that my site has once again dissapeared from the Google search results. Interesting how one day you can be in the top three links and the next day be on the back page. From what I hear this is quite common, so I am trying really hard not to freak out over it. I first noticed it when the hits went from 200+ a day down to 20 or so.

Strange traffic

On another note, been getting hit with the vampirestats, 7secretsearch and adsensewatchdog sites again. I had over 200 hits in about an hours time. Whether or not this is related to my site dropping off the face of the earth is anyone's guess. Form what I have been told this is not possible, since that would allow gaming the system if it were. If it was possible you could submit your competitions web site to one of those referrer sites and drive them off the first page. One has to wonder though....

My cb-radio site has been having problems as well. Lately it loads really slow here, even though other pages load just fine. Also notice that it seems to be having problems with dropbox and a few other services. I do daily updates to dropbox, so that if my site crashes I can restore it fairly quickly without too much effort (thanks Rich). Looking through the logs I see that it hasnt updated since September 2nd. May have to submit a support ticket if I cant figure this problem out soon.

Still plugging away at it.

On a positive note, I am still not Rich but I am ranking well (Number #5 position) for another Niche that I am working on. Adding content on a daily basis so that I can move up into the top three. I am constantly adding more information to the end user while researching and learning as much as I can to pass on to the visitors of my site. I like to think that this is proof positive that the methods here at WA work. My other Niche does bring in sales, but with low searches and very little in commission it is more of a passion for me and a testing ground to prove that this works.

Onto bigger and better things now.

Was the last year worth it ?

Oh, it was asked in a PM a few days ago about my thoughts on whether or not WA works after being here for almost a year. I would have to say yes. Although it hasn't been easy I have made progress, and can show that it does work. Maybe I am taking the long route but I still believe that it was worth it. I can see myself making progress and every day is exciting. I make enough to cover the costs here and a few bucks left over. I would say it is the equivalent of a part time job. My success is partly due to the great people here at WA that put up with my questions and whining in chat. They are what makes WA great..
