I'm so happy but mostly relieved! I received an email from Amazon and because it's my three-month anniversary, I have been holding my breath hoping that they weren't going to kick me out for lack of sales. I was kicked out in the beginning for listing a price on my website and then opened a second account. SInce then, I have not made any sales.Today I received my first monthly report for my original account which they re-opened after I fixed the error. There wasn't enough money for them to actu

It's Monday, not themost popular day of most people's week but easily my favorite day. I love thefeeling of a fresh start to a new week and I like to think about Anne (with an "E")of Green Gables appreciating a day with no mistakes in it (yet). Monday is mywork-at-home day, when I get to clean the house without any interference andwork on my website with fewer distractions. Today, I thought I would do what Ialways dreamed of (well, not always, because I'm from an era that didn't alwayshave comp

When I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis a few months ago, it became necessary to quit the part-time job that I had recently taken for the purpose of meeting new people and making some money for a vacation. The physical labor, although not very heavy, was exacerbating my symptoms. Not only that, but I could see that my "real job" was also contributing to my pain and that I would need to replace it as soon as possible. As I began researching my condition and looking for career options, it became

Hello, there!Note taking madnessI have been with Wealthy Affiliate for less than two months and already I am surrounded by notes, notes, and more notes! They are everywhere! I have notes scribbled in binders, on post-it notes, in a folder, and on my computer. There is no method to my madness; when I think of an idea I write it down. Somewhere.I don't know about you but I have a tendency to be an "out of sight, out of mind" sort of person, so the likelihood of these notes ever being seen again i

Ugh, it's cold outside! Here I sit in a comfy chair in my warm house with the world at my fingertips. Why would I want to be anyplace else?Blogging is new to me and I'm only just beginning to learn the lessons that will enable me to do it successfully. Nevertheless, it has quickly become my full-time job in that it consumes all of my time. Before I'm out of bed in the morning, I'm on my phone reading blog posts from people in my blogging community. Then there are questions on the lessons I have co

This is my Happy Place. It has become my daily habit to start my day by reading blog posts from other WA members. It's refreshing to be among a group of positive people who help, encourage, teach, correct, and build each other up.Last week presented many challenges. Nothing terribly bad, but it zapped my energy. I wasn't loving the lessons pertaining to social media, but I got through them. There was a death in the family and much of my time was spent reconnecting with family I hadn't seen in ye

Whew! I'm glad it's time to move ahead! Social networking is not my favorite topic, but I got through it and learned quite a bit in the process. Now that I'm there, it's really not so bad. I'm even enjoying some parts of it like seeing friend's pictures on Instagram or tweeting something at the spur of the moment. Nevertheless, I'm ready to move on!

Usually when someone talks about life being like a roller coaster ride, they are referring to its being full of ups and downs. That's true, but there's more to it than that.Life, like a roller coaster, is full of ups and downs and twists and turns. Once we are buckled in, we ride to the end unable to pick and choose which way we'll be carried. In life, we tend to think of the downs as being the rough parts that we would prefer to do without. However, it's those rough parts that make life excitin
