Did you draft Jordy Nelson?
So, one more week of preseason games and another injury, this time to one of the best receivers in the NFL, Jordy Nelson. The question is did you already participate in your Fantasy football draft and if so, did you draft Jordy?
Chances are you spent a 2nd round pick for him, possibly early 3rd. That is a high price to pay for someone who will not help your team this season. He is believed to have a torn ACL. WR Davante Adams is expected to replace Nelson, which means Adams' fantasy value just skyrocketed. It is imperative that you get Adams on your team, that is if he can be had right now.
Probably best to schedule all fantasy drafts the night before the first game of the season from now on. Too many players are getting injured in the preseason games. Injuries will happen of course, but there is no way to predict to whom and how serious those injuries will be. There are a lot of fantasy owners and fantasy teams hurting today.
Yes, no more fantasy football drafts in August! Let things play out during preseason and beginning in 2016, all drafts should be scheduled for September. It makes sense to me!

We have our draft scheduled for the last weekend before the season. I have not ever participated before so this will be my first year.

Good timing on your draft. Wait as late as you can before the season starts. I am in two leagues, with drafts in September. But one of the leagues is a dynasty, which will be my first time trying. Different strategy when drafting for a dynasty team.

Wasn't really my idea, they guy running it has done it a lot and it was his advice we wait. So we will be getting together thru skype and having our draft online, pretty cool way to do it I think.
