In a new landing page, I'm trying to create a form of one field, so the user enters the affiliate ID as user's invitation code in the field, followed with a "submit" button.

Help!
I still need this code.
Thanks

Hey G,

It sounds like you are trying to add an Amazon affiliate link to an image of a button. If so, then all you need are instructions on adding a link to an image: If I have misunderstood your question, please restate it so that I can understand better. Here is how you can edit your question if necessary: Hope you find this helpful.

Edited.
Thanks )

Okay, so you are looking for an input button... but where is the affiliate ID supposed to go... in the URL?

How about this: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/button

yes to the end of the url.

fixed url is: https://mywebsite.com/ ?ref=

for example, user enter affiliate id: 123456789 in the field and click on the "submit' button, button will add the entered data to the url and go to https://mywebsite.com/ ?ref= 123456789

You are soooo clever... are you doing this for all affiliate links or just the landing page?

Thank you :)
For now just the landing page. Still don't know how to code the button to add the entered data to the end of the link and send user to new (full) URL!

Note: landing page is different domain than directed site.

Oooh.. I wondered because I understood that you figured it out already. As far as I know there is no way, which was why you shocked me when you said you have fixed the URL.

You could us a Pretty Link to mask your affiliate link when the button is moused over... or clicked. Did you visit the URL I provided in my comment above... the one with all the different means of adding code to a button?

yes I visited that link, I'm searching there now.

Thank you :)

I'm trying to find a way developing a new website without the ability of accessing the Cpanel, so which files are accessible with ftp?

Hi Daria,

Technically speaking any server file that is "visible" in your FTP file manager is also accessible. I mean, downloadable, editable and uploadable ...

If the FTP access is restricted you shouldn't be able to "see" the file ...

Also, in certain cases you could get an error message only when you are trying to upload the new edited version of the file

Clear, thank you :)

You're welcome!

I think Marion is the best person to answer your question

She does live in Australia and could be in bed by now.
Robert

Sure she is :)
Thank you

No problem and happy to help if and when I can.

Hi there!

I will need to add a developer to my website as a new user, which role level I should use?

Note please that the developer is a Fiverr freelancer.

Agree- Admin. You can remove them at any time.

You add him/her as a new user and give them a password for Admin.

Just click on Users in your WP Dashboard and then Add New and fill in the details.
Remember to add their access in the drop down menu (see pic)
Robert

Thank you Robert.

But as the developer will be an Admin user; can I remove this user later after the developing job is done? Is it safe to add a freelance developer to my website as an Admin role?

Thanks

Yes you can remove a user simply by clicking on All Users - tick the box next to it and delete permanently.
As for safety, that is entirely up to you but if you have doubts then don't allow access or allow access and if they are not doing what you want then remove them.

Thank you )

no probs
