50/50 Split on $100,000
I made the most money in my life, producing Trade Shows and Expos. The covid thingy slowed that down significantly.
I AM CURIOUS…
Why do I not see more Affiliate Programs offering commissions on Event Tickets, Vendor Booth Sales and Sponsorships?
Seriously, a lot of money is spent on the marketing and advertising for these events.
🔹Home and Garden Shows
🔹Health and Wellness Expos
🔹Technology Summits
🔹Festivals and Concerts
Why are these Event Promoters not using Affiliate Marketers to get “butts in seats” and generate Vendor Leads and Sponsorships?
WHY?

Hi Brad!
Event promoters might not be utilizing affiliate marketers to "get butts in seats" and generate vendor leads/sponsorships due to a combination of factors, including a lack of awareness about the potential of affiliate marketing in the events industry, concerns about tracking and commission structures, and a perceived lack of control over the marketing message when working with external affiliates.
I think you are right about a lack of awareness of the producers.
The Affiliate Summit used to have an Affiliate Program, but I don’t think they do anymore. Probably because it is a popular event now and they don’t need affiliate marketers anymore.
Tracking is easy breezy. I use Kartra (similar to ClickFunnels) and I have it set up with a lifetime cookie, so all the Affiliate needs to do is get the opt-in. The rest of the selling is done with automated email campaigns, newsletter broadcasts.
It sounds like an online business opportunity for you to work with these folks by finding a way to create a marketing message that increases their traffic flow and allows affiliate tracking for the efforts.
It would benefit the marketers as well as the actual event. The only hang-up I could possibly imagine is that many of these shows and expos are free events, and the promoters do not want to spend funds to promote them outside of what they are already doing. Concerts that charge admissions are a different story.
With Trade Shows and Expos, the money comes from the Exhibitors and Sponsors primarily.
I used to produce Home Improvement Shows and we did about 12 shows a year.

I kinda like to know that too, Brad. 🤔
Myra ♥️
I think it might be because in person events are “local”, and there are very few affiliate marketers that know how to target a “local” audience.
